The Missions Team is inviting you to join Maple Avenue for our 2nd annual Meal Pack event to support Mioche Rock and Friends of Christ Ministries in Haiti on Saturday, October 1st from 8 – 12. Last year, we were able to pack 40,000 meals in 4 hours. This year, the Missions team is giving $5000 towards the meal pack and is asking the congregation to double that match with a gift of $10,000. An additional $5000 should cover the cost for 40,000 meals and the remaining funds should cover the cost for transportation for Mioche to rent a vehicle to pick up the food items. Giving for the Meal Pack will begin in September. Please prayerfully consider what extra amount you are willing to give towards the meal pack and our friends in Haiti.
Registration for this year’s Haiti Meal Pack is now open! It will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. You can sign up to work from 8 to 10 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. to Noon, or both. There is also a space available to indicate if you need a stool to sit on while working.
