Did you make a new year resolution? Did you make a new year resolution in regard to your physical health? Maybe to lose weight, work out more consistently, get back into a certain pant size? A lot of people are motivated for physical fitness and start out on fire, going to the gym, getting up early, running, weightlifting, losing weight, exercising, watching the diet; but, after a few weeks the goals are abandoned. This happens a lot in our spiritual lives as well. Spiritual exercise, like physical exercise, can be tough.
