Series: Fixer Upper
Continuing the Fixer Upper series we need to discuss the expectations of marriage. Some may expect to roll over in the morning and find his wife with her makeup applied perfectly, her breath as sweet as a honey suckle vine, and not a hair out of place. She expects him to stay physically fit, but later realizes he doesn’t just roll out of bed, but he rolls everywhere and has rolls everywhere; and it used to be possible to run fingers through his thick hair, but now there is no hair and the fingers just slide down his face. But let’s talk about expectations in our spiritual homes, our spiritual fixer-uppers. God doesn’t lower our expectations; in fact, He fixes and redirects them to His expectations.
